A slow shutter speed seascape image has been awarded the POTW accolade this week.
'Surreal Seascape' by Philpot was chosen by the team to win the accolade, and here's why we thought it deserved to win:
This surreal seascape has been made mysterious and abstract by the really slow shutter speeds used - the structure almost looks like part of an alien spaceship emerging from the mist.
The lack of horizon in the image gives it a minimalist feel as does the limited colour palette. It's a simple yet effective image with good rule of thirds use to give a more interesting composition.
POTW winners currently receive a 32GB MicroSD card with SD adapter from Samsung. See all the images that have won the accolade in the POTW gallery.
