Sony has released a firmware update for the Sony Alpha A9II and there's also firmware updates for the Sony 24mm GM and 135mm GM lenses.
| Sony Alpha 9 II (ILCE-9M2) in Industry NewsSony has introduced 3 firmware updates for the Sony Alpha A9 II, Sony 24mm f/1.4 GM and Sony 135mm f/1.8 GM.
There's nothing major upgrades, mostly general performance/stability improvements, but they're free to download from the Sony website.
With the Sony Alpha A9 II update, you get the ability to start FTP transfer earlier after shooting pictures, a correction for where the camera can sometimes turn off in playback when viewing RAW images and JPEG quality will be more consistent when shooting under specific conditions once the firmware update is installed.
The Sony 24mm f/1.8 GM and Sony 135mm f/1.4 GM lens firmware update improves aperture response when the lenses are attached to a Sony Alpha 9, Sony Alpha 9 II and Sony Alpha A7R Mark IV camera and "Focus Priority" can now be selected from the "Aperture Drive in AF" menu when the lens is attached to an ILCE-9 camera (with firmware version 6.00 or later).
