2500 for a non-stabilised lens? It may be a cracker, but F me it makes the Canon equivalent look like it's going for knock-off prices. That's saying something. Are Sony insane? Do they want their A7s to take off, or just drive everyone to using third party optics. Even with autofocus adapters you're going to save stacks of cash. Shame.

Edit: I note it does have OSS as well as the IBIS of the 7SII - can it use the two in conjunction like Panasonic's system? It's still steep.

My first reaction is that this is way over the top in price. I have the f4 version, which I will stick with, you can always ramp up the ISO. It will be interesting to see if the teleconverters work with my lesser lens?
I must admit that I got rid of my Canon L lenses when I swopped to Sony A7R (and now the A7RII), because I found the lenses had some focus trouble through the adapter, possibly a mistake.
I think I am going to hang on to see what the generic manufactures come out with for the longer lens. In the meantime I am finding my FE 70-200mm f4 excellent, with the ISO up and the 42.4 M, I can get good distance photos.
