An update to the Sony Cyber-shot HX300, this camera features the same 50x optical zoom lens, and 20.4 megapixel Exmor R backlit CMOS sensor. Improvements include the latest BOINZ X image processor for improved image quality technology including diffraction correction, area-specific noise reduction, and improved detail reproduction, as well as improved speed.

The camera features built in Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS which makes it easy to transfer images to a smartphone or compatible iOS or Android device. On top is a multi-interface hot-shoe for additional accesories. The HX400V can take 300 still images, according to CIPA test standards.
