That's a pretty nice 1" Sensor! Although I was expecting a little less noise since the latest sony sensors had impressed me with such good noise performance but I could spot some noise even on ISO 100 (very hard to see and will not bother anyone but its still there) and I'm assuming those were taken with the in-camera noise reduction ON; still impressive results for a bridge camera. and the IQ is visibly better than my HS50EXR. But definitely not worth $1300... Sony had to impress me again to justify this pricepoint

Good specs. Might consider it when the price drops by more than half, and it will.Smile

Very nice sample images. The full zoom is great, very clean with lots of detail; wide angle has some pretty serious distortion at the edges/corners (people seated at the cafe tables at extreme left, for example) but better than some zoom lenses for MFT. The zoom of the people in costume seemed quite noise-free (the water in the background is quite good); not sure which noisy image(s) the other poster is referring to.
But all in all, a very hefty price tag for what it is. I'll stick with my FZ300 and GX7 for awhile. I got both of them at substantial discounts, just by waiting a few months. When/if the rx10 III comes down sufficiently, I'll buy it. Or not: there are some rumors of far better cameras (including MFT with 6K video and 16MP frames) coming during that time period.
