World's first autofocus adapter that allows Sony E-mount lenses to retain the Automatic Focus functionality when used on Nikon Z6 and Z7 cameras.
| Nikon Z7 in Convertors and Other AdaptorsTechart, who has previously launched the first autofocus adapter for manual lenses, has unveiled the Techart Sony E to Nikon Z Autofocus Adapter (TZE-01).
With the adapter, Nikon Z6 and Z7 camera owners can use Sony E-mount lenses and still retain the Automatic Focus functionality thanks to Techart designing an adapter with connectors on both sides and a PCB board with a chip to 'translate' the protocol of the lens/camera.
F-S, AF-C & MF modes are supported in both still & video shooting. Plus, Face and Eye Detection can also be used along with other functions such as lens vibration reduction and timelapse.
Most Sony, Sigma, Tamron and Zeiss AF lenses with Sony E mounts, including some of the best sellers such as the Tamron 28-75mm, Batis 25mm f/2, Sony 24mm f/1.4 GM and Sigma 35mm f/1.4, are supported and the Techart TZE-01 adapter comes with a lens dock for firmware upgrades.
Pricing and Availability
The Techart Sony E to Nikon Z Autofocus Adapter is currently available for pre-order. The recommended retail price before tax is $249, there's a 1-year warranty and delivery will begin from late June.
