At £2600 I`d expect to see the viewfinder built in.

The design is very similar to that of the x10, minus viewfinder.

The built in thumb grip is a nice touch.

This looks like a very interesting camera and if as claimed the image quality is higher than the new Nikon D800 (Sony sensor as well) it will prove popular with well healed street shooters.

I do wonder of this is Sony edging into a small compact full frame interchangeable lens camera?

If the optical viewfinder has a visible focus indicator (LED) it will prove popular but it looks too high when sat on top of the Thumb rest will prove expensive.

Can we expect to see a 50mm version following on as well?

It will be in high quality DSLR price category so suspect it will not fly off the shelves - time will tell and I for one will be watching as it would certainly be good for my street & landscape work.

I have had a brief " hands on " with this camera but it did not have the viewfinder.

So, for me, the optional electronic viewfinder would be a " must have " as I found it impossible to compose / focus using the screen Sad

The 35mm lens is very good, but it is a Zeiss ! !
