Take a look at a rather impressive collection of lunar images captured by an amateur astrophotographer from his own home.

Bartosz Wojczyński is a photographer who specialises in high-resolution lunar imaging and he has a rather impressive portfolio of moon shots, which you can see below.
Images can be enormous in size, one of his latest shots is a whopping 73.5GB, take around 30 minutes to capture and can take up to 6 hours to complete as Bartosz has to combine several frames into one shot, stacking and processing the shots into a full-res image. For the shot shown above, 32000 images were captured on his ZWO ASI174MM camera, with a few filters, a Sky-Watcher HEQ5 mount and a Celestron C9.25 telescope (2350mm).
Discussing his latest lunar shot, Bartosz said: "Quite possibly my best lunar image to date, created from violet and infrared data mapped to blue and red channels...Thanks to the enhanced coloration, it's possible to examine the differences in the chemical composition of the lunar surface. For example, the bluish tint of several areas indicates a titanium-rich soil."
Do take the time to visit Bartosz Wojczyński's website where solar imagery and star trails are also displayed as well as the high-resolution versions of the lunar shots.
