Taking Panoramic Images On Samsung Smart NX Cameras: Samsung NX30 Black (10)

Panoramas are becoming increasingly popular for taking images of vast landscapes. But did you know that there are several different types of panorama on the Samsung Smart NX range of cameras? Here, we take a look at the different possibilities available for your panorama images.

Taking a panorama image has been made really easy with Samsung NX cameras. On the NX30, place the camera in Smart mode (this looks like a white camera with an S in the middle on the mode dial), and scroll through the options until you reach the panorama option. Depress the shutter button, and you can then move the camera left, right, up or down to create your panorama. There is also the option to turn the panorama 3D by tapping the icon on the screen.

Taking Panoramic Images On Samsung Smart NX Cameras: Panorama

180 degree Panorama - A 180 degree panorama is ideal for capturing the view in front of you. You'll be able to sweep from left to right, capturing the whole of the vista that's in your sight without having to worry about what's going on behind you.

360 degree Panorama - A 360 degree panorama is ideal what you're surrounded by beautiful scenery and can't decide which part you want to shoot. The answer is to spin right round with the camera and capture the whole scene! If you're with someone while you're taking the shot, have them stay at the back of you whilst you move around if they don't want to appear in the shot. 360 panoramas often have a more abstract and surreal feel, as they aren't our natural way of seeing a landscape.

Vertical Panorama - Vertical panoramas are ideal for capturing tall things, such as trees or buildings, from close up. They will allow you to create a better sense of the scale of the object. They are also ideal for a different take on images with an interesting sky or lots of interesting foreground, enabling you to fit more of either of these into the shot.

3D Panorama - The latest Smart NX cameras, such as the NX30, feature a 3D panorama option, enabling you to view the scene ion stunning 3D on a 3D compatible TV. This adds another aspect of realism to the shot, and will be ideal for documenting your holiday, for example, preserving the moment.
