If you're looking for a challenge, head to your town and try to capture images that fit the 'old vs new' theme.
| Tamron SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) in CreativeWe're hanging out in Sheffield with our camera gear this week as there's so much photographic potential waiting to be captured and shared.
This particular time, we're turning our attention to old and new buildings as it's actually a bit of a fun challenge searching out locations where the new is juxtaposed with the old in a way that creates an interesting photo.
You can actually apply this 'old vs new' way of thinking to a wide variety of subjects but the easiest one is architecture. In most cities, new buildings are going up around older structures all of the time so it shouldn't take you too long to find an angle where you can capture each element in your frame.
The above shot is of Sheffield's Town Hall and the hotel which sits to the side of it and as we were using the Tamron 10-24mm, we could stand quite close to the buildings and still get both of them in the shot without capturing any distracting elements that pull away from the theme.
After photographing whole buildings, why not get a little more creative and look for reflections of old brickwork in glass or new signs sat next to or even on older structures.
If you take part in your own 'old vs new' challenge, do share them with us in the Tamron Gallery.
