Tamron Is Working On Two New Lenses For Sony E-mount Full-Frame Cameras

Tamron has started the development of two new lenses for Sony E-mount full-frame cameras which include the world's first mirrorless zoom lens with a maximum wide-open aperture of f/2 and a second-generation fast-aperture standard zoom lens, that updates the 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD, for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras.

The Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD (Model A058) and the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Model A063) will be available this year (2021) with further details on pricing to be released soon.

‘Tamron Lens Utility’ software for lens function customization

Both the 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD and the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 are compatible with the new ‘Tamron Lens Utility’ software originally and uniquely developed by Tamron. ‘Tamron Lens Utility’ can be operated via your own computer by connecting the lens from its Connector Port via the optional Tamron Connection Cable. Users can customize the functions and update the firmware through the lens rather than through the camera. The personal customization gives flexible shooting options to match the shooting situation such as still photography or videography.
