Alex Stead is only 21, and has already established himself as a respected travel photographer. He has over a million photographers on instagram and has developed a shooting style that's different and appeals to those who want something other than the norm.
Alex started shooting with his dad's D300 and has since moved on to a D810 for stills and a D500 for video. "With the D810 it's all about the quality of the full-frame images, which are just incredible – that's what really does it for me. It's a very rugged and well built camera too, which is important as I put my gear through a lot; it can be shooting in -12° one week, underwater or on a beach with all the sand to contend with the next.", says Alex.
Alex was brought up in London and has always had the urge to be in the great outdoors - there's more freedom than working in a studio. He's photographed all over the world, for some of the world's biggest companies including Mercedes, Vodafone, and Lufthansa. Out shooting around 5 months out of the year, Alex plans to keep on shooting for a wide range of products, including clothes and cars.
