'The Best Amateur Photographer in Kent 2006' Photo competition announced

EPIC (Eynsford Photographic Image Club) are organising a two day festival 28-29th May to be held in the picture perfect village of Eynsford, Kent. In order to promote the festival we are running a countywide competition to find; The Best Amateur Photographer in Kent 2006 sponsored by Kent Life magazine.

Along with the title of Best Amateur Photographer in Kent 2006 the winner of the Adult category will be treated to a luxurious weekend spa break for two at Brandshatch Place, part of the Hand Picked Hotels collection (logo); the prize will include dinner, bed and breakfast plus an hours spa treatment and use of the Brandshatch Place Spa for two people. (Dinner would be chosen from the set menu with wine selected by the manager).
Brandshatch Place is a luxurious Georgian mansion with a stylish new spa in Fawkham, Kent, offering Spa day packages and relaxing overnight Spa breaks.

The adult runner up will receive a Canon IXUS 40 Digital Camera courtesy of online camera specialists, who with a team of product buyers looking for the best deals, provide unbeatable online prices to their customers.

Winners of the Under 16 category will receive a fabulous camera and printer package; the Benq DC 500 digital camera & Sagem printer courtesy of AJ say; this sleek camera is one the kids just love.

Runners up prizes include photo canvases courtesy of Snapfish, photographic websites and a days tutorial with a professional photographer.

As a bonus, all entrants to the competition will receive 30 free prints from Snapfish on line.

The competition is open to all Kent residents, with two age categories; Under 16 and Adult.

The chosen theme for 2006 is Kent Today entrants who think outside the box and show us the diversity of our county will be rewarded with some amazing prizes.

The headline is not quite correct - according to the competition website, there are two parts to this - the "Best Amateur Photographer in Kent" is only for amateurs, but the festival itself is open to all. I think this should be clarified.

Interestingly, though, on the entry page the competition is re-titled "best photographer in Kent". So which is it?
There's no payment for use of images, so I guess pros would not be interested anyway.
