For those of you who are interested in the history of photography, the below timeline is probably something you'll enjoy perusing.

Alamy is the team behind the stock photography timeline and it's actually the second version they've produced (click here to see the first version). In the new version, 10 brand new additions have been added, covering everything from the founding of Robertstock in 1920 all the way through to the launch of Adobe Stock and Mega Agency in 2016.

"The new additions have helped us to give a complete overview of the stock industry and how it’s changed over the years," says Alamy.

Even though the new version of the timeline is more comprehensive, Alamy want to hear from you if you notice anything they've missed or when you hear about new and upcoming photography milestones, so they can create a bigger and better third edition.
