A brand new contemporary art gallery to be opened in Aspley, Nottingham will become the very first in the Midlands to showcase solely photographic creations.
The gallery known as The Nottingham Photographic Contemporary Art Gallery will officially open on July 14th.
Set to become both a hub and a focal point for both professional and amateur photographers to harness their passion for the art form, The Nottingham Photographic will inspire people of all ages to embrace photographic art.
The brainchild of Paul Storer of Paul Storer Photography and Karpal Nijjar of KNK, the new gallery will open with an impressive display from photographers including Jennifer James, Rebecca white and Paul Storer.
Paul Storer one of the gallery’s founders said, “We are eagerly anticipating the launch of The Nottingham Photographic and it has been in the planning stages for a very long time.
“Myself and Karpal had a vision of a gallery that would create not only an artistic backdrop for photographers UK wide to showcase their works of art, but a home where people of all ages can come to view the creations in a friendly atmosphere, where they can ask question’s about the work they are presented with.
Karpal added, “We hope that our work will be used to inspire local colleges and universities. We are lucky enough to have access to some of the country’s greatest photographers, and we hope that this will help to keep Nottingham at the forefront of contemporary photography.
