Find out more about the OM-D's 5-axis image stabilisation and how it helps you.
| Olympus OM-D E-M1 in Digital Cameras5-axis image stabilisation is unique to Olympus OM-D cameras.
It is very precise, and compensates for all kinds of blurs and jolts, whether they are forward, backwards, downwards, upwards, sideways, or if the camera is tilting or slanting.
Image stabilisation applies to any lens that you use on the camera. The system is now so sophisticated that it can detect specific axes where stabilisation is not needed, for example when you are panning.
If you are shooting video, the system acts like a built-in steady hand so your videos are blur and jolt free, too.
The video above illustrates how 5-axis image stabilisation works in more detail.
