The Photographers Duel: Can You Take A Better Photo Than A Fellow Photographer?

This week, the COOPH photographers wanted to challenge their creativity (and each other) in a tried and tested photo duel. Are you up for the same challenge?

A little bit of competition is a great way to push you out of your comfort zone and that's exactly what the COOPH team are doing this week in their photographic duel.

"The COOPH photographers wanted to challenge their creativity (and each other) in a tried and tested photo duel. The rules were easy: Set yourself a limit, use only one lens, try to focus on the unexpected and find new motifs," The COOPH Team.

Two photographers go head-to-head, photographing the same subjects, with just one lens, to see who can capture the best photo. The team picked themes out of a hat which adds an extra level of fun to the challenge, too.

You can see some of the images they captured below.

More Challenges? If you like this kind of thing, why not take on a 'One Colour Photo Challenge' or how about going with the theme 'Old Vs New'? For even more ideas, take a look at our '7 Photo Project Ideas'.

I love this idea, as if forces you to really investigate whether you are doing the best you can from a situation.
This is where photo walks with a club can really come into its own when you share the photos later.

Heck we could even have a town street ephotozone competition on this idea. e.g. the best 50mm lens photo in April from "Call Ln, Leeds LS1 7BR" Obviously a few comps could run in parallel in different towns. - Choosing a location near transport links may help.
Sponsoring it from a local cafe could be an interesting idea?

To a limited exposure/DOF extent i sometimes also try this with the Auto function on the camera - are my choice of setting better than the cameras.
