Photography Institute

Press Release:
What kind of course do you offer?
The diploma course in professional photography is what we specialise in. It is the most in depth online diploma course that you will find anywhere on the internet, covering all aspects of photography.
This course is comprised of 12 Modules and 12 corresponding interactive assignments to complete, some are text based and with most you will have to upload your images.
How can I learn such a practical subject effectively online?
All the learning is done online in that when you enrol you receive a username and password which enables you to log onto our secure student site. From there you can download your first module, which you could liken to your text book as it contains all the information you will need to complete assignment one. Each module is approximately 60 pages in length and is full of detailed technical information delivered in a friendly, conversational manner that is easy to understand. The concepts are further explained by way of diagrams, images and examples.
Once you have completed your assignment (some are just theoretical, but the majority of assignments combine both theory and fun practical tasks!) you then upload it onto our site for your tutor to mark. The tutors will give you a grade (out of 10) and a comprehensive evaluation of your work and ideas and help nurture and improve your skills each step of the way.

What is the difference between this course and learning from free online tutorials or books?
What makes The Photography Institute so unique is that throughout our course you have access to the safety net and guidance of the team here at Student Support, who you can contact 24/7. It is not simply a case of giving you a textbook and off you go - far from it.
You also have direct contact with your personal tutor who guides you closely through each step of the course, offering personalised and specific constructive criticism on your submitted work. This is something a book or tutorial can never give you and is at a level that other amateurs cannot offer. If you ever have any questions in relation to your course or assignments, all you need to do is send your tutor a quick message via our secure internal message system and they will reply with an answer as soon as they can.
With this close tutor mentorship, you will feel like your tutor is in the same room as you, and all this can be achieved from the comfort of your own home. That is the beauty of our course, you can study when you like and at your own pace.
How do I know if the tutors are any good?
The tutors who work for us are not just teachers, but are amongst the best working professionals in their field. The author of this course, George Seper, is one of the leading professional freelance photographers around, highly regarded in the industry with a great reputation.

Please feel free to read some more about our great team of tutors and view their work here.

By drawing on their knowledge you will gain an edge that will allow you to get your foot in the door and take the industry by storm yourself.
What makes your course different than any other online course?
We don't want to discredit any other institutes, as we don’t believe it to be fair or ethical. What we can say is that there a few key elements that make our course and institute stand out from the crowd.
As our course is run entirely online it is easily updated to ensure that our finger is always on the pulse as this is an ever expanding industry. It also means that students can study at their own pace, any time they like and from anywhere in the world. Tutorials are not reliant on out-dated discs or cassette tapes to convey ideas and concept to students. Rather we have great looking comprehensive modules that are easily downloaded and saved to your PC or printed out for future reference.

Our online messaging and assignment submission pages ensure that costs are kept to a minimum as postage is eliminated and students can be assured their work will not be lost or damaged in the process. It also means that the marking and communication channels are speedy and efficient.

What do I receive when I finish the course?
On successful completion of this course you will receive your Diploma of Professional Photography as issued by The Photography Institute, a certification recognised worldwide within the industry.
