Whatever you want to photograph, there is a lens for every occasion from Samsung.
| Mirrorless CamerasThe Samsung Smart NX range of cameras has grown considerably over the last few years, and with that the range of lenses has also been expanded. So, whatever you want to shoot, there is a lens that's ideal for you. Here, we'll list a variety of photo genres along with what Samsung lenses are great for that type of photography:
Landscape
For landscape images, there is usually the need to fit in a lot of scenery and this is where a wide zoom lens will come in, such as the Samsung 12-24mm lens. This lens will be ideal for capturing city skyline vistas wide open expanses of countryside and much more. The zoom of the wide angle gives you more versatility to zoom in slightly and crop out factors of the scene you don't want to include, as well as frame your image more accurately to your liking if moving to eliminate and offending object from the picture is not an option.
City / candid shots
When out and about in the city where areas can be quite enclosed, a multipurpose lens like the 18-55mm or 20-50mm lens will give you the versatility to zoom to subjects or capture wider images of the streets, without being too wide so as to distort to close by buildings. The 20-50mm is also quite a compact lens, allowing you to stow it in a pocket quite easily when you no longer require the use of your equipment.
Wildlife photos
For wildlife images, you'll need a longer zoom as wildlife can be scared easily, meaning you'll need to shoot from further away. To still get close up shots of animals, a lens such as the 50-200mm will be ideal. It will give you the reach you need, while still being relatively lightweight and compact. The lens features built-in lens-shift image stabilizer enabling you to capture crisp, detailed shots.
Portraits
For portraits, a standard prime lens like the 45mm lens will be great. This is because prime lenses generally create better bokeh, allowing for your portraits to have a nicer looking background while putting the emphasis on your subject with pin sharp focus. This compact and lightweight lens is a must for human, or even pet portraits.
Macro/close up photos
For the best images of close-up objects, you'll need a dedicated macro lens, such as the 60mm Macro from Samsung. With a radically shortened focal length allowing you to capture detailed and vivid images. The lens features a quiet supersonic motor, so you're less likely to disturb your subject if you're shooting bugs and insects. The lens is also great for photographing detailed abstracts of subjects such as flowers.
