The company who owns Lexar has announced it's retiring the entire Lexar memory range.
| Industry News
Lexar is a well-known name in the photography sector but it looks like it soon could be a thing of the past as Micron, the company who owns Lexar, has announced they're discontinuing the entire Lexar range.
This means that Lexar memory cards, USB flash drives, readers and storage devices will no longer be arriving on shop shelves but Micron will continue to provide support to existing customers through the transition period.
The reason stated for the removal of the range is that Micron wants to look at other areas that offer 'higher value markets and channels'.
Micron has said that they are looking to see if they can sell all or part of the Lexar business but unless they find a buyer, this popular brand will be no more.
