If you're new to photography or are just a bit of a technology geek, taking a peek inside a camera is probably something you'd find really interesting. However, unless you take a sharp tool to your precious camera, it's a bit tricky to see how it works on the inside and so, that's where cutaway diagrams come in handy.
The DSLR diagram above was created by David McSweeney, from noobnorm, and all of the inner parts are labelled, plus you can see the path light takes through the camera to get a better understanding of how an image is captured.
As well as the cutaway diagram, David's also put labels on the outside of a Canon DSLR which photography beginners will also find useful.
