An image of a thoughtful looking woman holding flowers has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade.
The image, by ePz member SarahWilkesPhotography is titled 'Deep In Thought' and here's why the team at ePHOTOzine thought it deserved to win:
This is a very emotive portrait that caught our eye due to the way that the model's top contrasts beautifully with her hair, which is blown flatteringly back by a gentle breeze. Skill is needed to pull off shooting at exactly the right time to make sure the hair is captured perfectly - a fast shutter speed will have been needed .
The deep pinky red of the flowers draws the eye, and leads the viewer to really think about what is going through the woman's head as she closes her eyes, deep in memory. The slightly off centre framing and vignette work well to give a dream like feel to the image. Lighting and make-up have been used really well to highlight the countours of the model's face.
