Rosalie with grandson Alastair, both avid members of ePHOTOzine.
Rosalie Beale (also known as RosaB
) has been a member of ePHOTOzine since March 2007 when her son, Philip Beale
treated her to e2 membership as a birthday present. Now a third generation of the Beale family has joined in the form of Rosalie's grandson, Alastair
. Philip, an avid wildlife photographer, has been a member since July 2003 and Alastair, who is only seven, joined in February this year making him one of the youngest members on the site.
"I have always taken family snaps” said Rosa, “but began to take photography more seriously when I moved to Crete in 1995. I then began to take seascapes and local views with my Canon EOS SLR.”
It was Philip who recommended ePHOTOzine to Rosalie, who at first was apprehensive about uploading her work to the site.
“I was reluctant to join at first as I didn't feel my work was good enough, but Phil assured me the site was suitable for beginners too and that I would learn a lot. We both recommended the site to Alastair, who has just began to show in interest in photography.”
"What I enjoy most about the site is the friendly and helpful members. I have received a lot of good advice, helpful comments and modifications of my work, often followed up by private messages with more detailed information and where I can find helpful tutorials. In turn I try to pass on what I have learnt to newer members and juniors in the critique gallery and enjoy doing mods for them. I also get inspiration from seeing other people's photographs and manipulations."
