The Micro Four Thirds lens standard is welcoming 3 new manufacturers into its ranks - Venus Optics, Yongnuo and Mediaedge are now on board.
The MFT format is now 12 years old, and was jointly formed by Olympus and Panasonic in 2008.
"[Olympus] will continue to develop and enhance the product line-up to meet the diverse needs of our customers."
Venus Optics (Laowa lenses) already released 3 lenses for MFT back in 2018, and we got hands-on with them at Photokina. Yongnuo have previously released Canon EF mount lenses, and we look forward to seeing what they bring to MFT. We've yet to come across any lenses from Mediaedge.
Cameras which use the MFT format include the new Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III.
