I mostly welcome a suggestion for my question that which one is sharper micro lens? 40mm or 60mm? No prob about focal length, prize and other features. I need SHARPER between two.

I was wondering if anyone had experience of both The Nikon 40mm f2.8 micro and Tamron SP90 f2.8??? (I am looking to get one or the other)
I used to have the Tamron 90, is a cracking lens...Grin

Wondering why the classic Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 is not on this list, Rather than 2 or 5 grand's worth items, For use on a day to day basis the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 is a must have item, Especially for FX sensors, It would be more use than the 18-35mm unless your into converging verticals that is...Grin

If your looking for a macro lens around the 100mm focal range in Nikon mount, The Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR has No equal, Before I bought mine we ran side by side tests at WEX with a Tamron 90mm, The Nikon blew the Tamron away in every test, So much so I was glad to pay the extra money for the Nikon.

Using the Nikon 105mm micro over the last few years it never fails to produce superb images every time, Tripod or hand held makes no odds, It is in a class of its own....end of.
