A serene image of three pelicans on a Greek lake with a full moon in the background has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week. Every week, the Photo of the Week accolade is awarded to an image that the team thinks stands out from the rest, and the photographer of the image is awarded a 64GB microSD card with SD adapter from Samsung.

This image is beautiful from front to back. Not only do you have the pastel sky and sherbert-orange shades of the last remaining rays of the sun gently resting on the mountains, but you also have a full moon showing itself through the hazy clouds. 

If this isn't wonderful enough, you then have the silhouette of the trees on the shore of the lake leading to the serene waters. Then you've got the stars of the show - three lovely pelicans, their bright orange beaks adding a splash of bright colour. They're an impressive sight to behold, and the framing of the image means there's plenty of space for the pelicans to swim into to the left-hand side. It's an image that really makes you smile.
