Flatbed Scanners

UMAX UK have introduced the new PowerLook 1120 (Firewire) scanner to meet the increasing demands of both Photographers and other high end users. This represents an upgrade to the popular PowerLook 1100 scanner.

"By improving both internal electronics and programming, UMAX have been able to raise the Density range from 3.4D to a new high of 3.7D." says Phil Binks, UMAX Product Manager. "We have upgraded the MagicScan driver to offer high density scanning. This is very useful for those who need to scan transparencies to capture even more shadow detail." Resulting scans demonstrate smoother and fuller histogram data demonstrating that the higher density is aiding the capture of a wider range of data.

All UK versions of the PowerLook 1120 include a full 10"x 8" area Transparency Adapter for scanning of all film formats from 35mm.

Following the UMAX UK strategy, the scanner can be purchased in three different bundles. The high end 'Photo' bundle includes Silverfast, a powerful scanner driver with excellent Negative scanning abilities, Adobe Photoshop Elements, MagicScan and OmniPage LE.
