The Vanguard VEO T 45M is a large backpack that can hold a DSLR or large mirrorless, and up to 5 extra lenses, plus accessories. The T in the title denotes 'Tactical' and the bag is designed to be versatile and well-equipped. The VEO T 45M is available for £129.99 and comes in beige, black or dark blue. Here, we take a look at the blue version.

Vanguard VEO T 45M Backpack Features

The bag is quite angular and rectangular in shape and is covered on the front and both sides with sewn-on heavy-duty strips enabling you to attach external carrying solutions. Two of these are included with the bag - a drawstring water bottle pouch and tripod support which can be used together with the clips on the front or sides of the bag to hold a small tripod.

On the top half of the front, there's a compartment with a zip around the top and upper edges. This gives access to a decent-sized compartment for your personal gear and also houses the two optional outer carrying options mentioned above. Inside of the flap, there's a zipped double mesh pocket for memory cards. On the front of this, there's a slim zipped pocket which houses the rain cover.

Below this, on the lower front half of the bag is another large slim zipped pocket with mesh elasticated pockets inside. On the left-hand side, there's side access to the main compartment, and the flap also features a slim vertically zipped pocket ideal for an ID or small wallet. On the right-hand side is a slim zipped pocket and above this is a clip enabling you to attach a tripod or monopod.

On the top of the bag are a robust carry handle and two tension adjustment straps for the shoulder straps. The bottom is made of a robust PVC material. Moving on to the rear, this is where you'll find access to the main compartment. The back panel is well padded and features three soft foam patches, allowing for airflow. There's a padded waist strap which features zipped pockets on each side. There's a loop allowing you to attach the bag to rolling luggage when travelling. The padded shoulder straps feature a sternum clip and plastic loops enabling you to attach things to them.

Inside the main compartment on the rear of the flap, there's a padded slip for a 13-inch laptop. There's space to house a DSLR with an attached zoom lens,  and 4-5 extra lenses or accessories. Padding is removable, customisable and secured with velcro.
