Velodrome Racing Image Awarded Photo Of The Week: first and second

A fast-paced cycling image has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week.

The image, entitled 'First and Second' by RobertTurley was chosen by the team here at ePz and here's why we thought it deserved to win:

This fast-paced black and white capture caught our eye as the balance between movement and freezing the action is perfect. The heads and bodies of the men are sharp yet you can see the wheels spinning and the cyclists' legs pumping as they race around the track.

The choice of black and white works well to remove distractions and create a smooth pattern in the wood that leads your eye through the image. There's plenty of space on the left of the capture to give the subjects breathing space, too.

Winners of the POTW accolade currently receive a 32GB EVO MicroSD card with SD adapter from Samsung. See all winners of the accolade in the POTW gallery
