Vivo Apex 2019 No Buttons, No Ports But A Huge Screen : Vivo Apex 2019 smartphone

Vivo, the creators who brought the pop-up selfie camera to a smartphone, has joined the 'no ports, no buttons and no holes' design trend with the introduction of the Vivo Apex 2019 smartphone.

Like the Meizu Zero, the Apex 2019 has no buttons or ports so the glass/metal body is just one block of seamless construction.

The USB port is replaced with a MagPort - a magnetic connector which is attached to the back of the smartphone to transfer data as well as charge the device and sound is transferred via the back cover instead of a speaker usually found at the bottom of smart devices. There's no front earpiece either as sound is transmitted through the large screen where you can also find the full-display fingerprint sensor.

To keep the seamless design flowing around the edges of the smartphone, the volume/power buttons are replaced with pressure sensors and virtual buttons.

As for the Vivo Apex 2019's overall look, there are rounded corners and very small bezels. In fact, the top front bezel is so small, there's no front-facing camera and the bottom chin is tiny, too. On the back, there appears to be a dual camera but this is the only 'cut out' found on the entire device.

Availability & Price?

No price information, details on the camera or when the Vivo Apex 2019 may be available have been announced but Vivo says it will support 5G.

Take a look at the teaser video below which gives you a few more glimpses of the new Vivo Apex 2019 smartphone.
