VSCO Cam iPhone App Performance

When you open the VSCO Cam app you are straight into shooting mode. There are little options available, it lacks the HDR and panorama options found on the iPhone 5 and you can't use the volume button to take pictures. Also, it you rotate the camera, the menu options don't rotate as well.

When you have finished taking pictures, press the symbol in the bottom left corner to view them. On this screen you can import pictures which you have already stored in your camera roll. You can then select an image which presents options to edit, share, save and delete.

Within the editing menu are 10 filters, three of which are black and white. There are also options to crop, add grain and adjust brightness, contrast and saturation. When finished you just need to hit the share button or save, which gives options of various sizes. There are examples of the various editing options below.

VSCO Cam iPhone App Verdict

The developers claim the app is easy-to-use and they have delivered, but when shooting pictures it does lack a couple of useful features found when using the iPhone's own camera app such as shooting with the volume button and HDR. If this isn't a problem for you then the editing options are also easy to use and quickly applied with your final images able to be shared on Facebook and Twitter instantly.

The VSCO Cam iPhone app is easy to use with a good set of image editing options.

VSCO Cam iPhone App Pros

Easy-to-use as promised
Plenty of editing options
Images have GPS and EXIF Data

VSCO Cam iPhone App Cons

Lacks HDR and ability to shoot using volume button
Doesn't automatically save to camera roll
