Bamboo Pad
Wacom has announced the launch of a new Bamboo pad and new generation Bamboo styli.

The Bamboo pad is the first touchpad on the market with an additional stylus. It allows users to add navigation gestures, drawing and handwriting capabilities to the normal PC experience.

The Bamboo Pad uses Wacom's renowned and patented pen technology (Wacom feel IT technologies), while the pad’s ultra-slim design offers comfortable usage that provides comfort throughout long working hours.

The new pad also offers multi touch gestures, which feel natural. It is available wireless or with a USB connection, and comes in grey, blue, light green or purple.

Both products are available to buy now on the Wacom eStore. The USB Bamboo Pad is priced at £41.99, and the wireless version costs £59.99.
Bamboo Styli
Also announced was a collection of new generaton Bamboo Styli. Bamboo Stylus Solo and Bamboo Stylus duo are second generation, improved versions of the range of digital styli first introduced in 2011.

The Bamboo Stylus solo is a stylus for touchscreen devices , including the iPad,  that has a protective cap added in the latest version. The Bamboo Stylus duo is a two-in-one solution offering both a stylus for touchscreens and a ballpoint pen for paper use. Additional to these second-generation models, Wacom offers the Bamboo Stylus alpha as an affordable entry addition to the range, which looks and feels like a pen.

All the new styli are available now on the Wacom eStore. The Bamboo Stylus duo is priced at £24.99, the Bamboo Stylus solo at £16.99, and the Bamboo Stylus alpha costs £12.99.

I'm assuming this is not variable pressure sensitive as i can't see this rating on the tech data pages.

Hi Stuart,

I think the stylus it comes with is pressure sensitive, but I'm not sure if you can change the amount of sensitivity it has.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Emma, so if it pressure sensitive then in photoshop it could be used for faint and thick lines drawn on pressure alone - that would be good but i'd want to see it written down somewhere.
