The Photography Show has launched a once in a lifetime competition, in partnership with Training byLUMIERE and Nikon, offering one emerging talent to be fast-tracked into a pro-career in the photography industry, plus a prize package worth over £15,000.
'60 seconds to change your life' will seek to find one creative individual who wants to make the transition to becoming a professional photographer and will help set them up for their first year in business. The prize package includes 6 months of training as well as the kit that's needed for setting up a photography business, including insurance, software and other photography essentials.
Last year’s winner, Beth Lavin said: "60 seconds has changed my life more than I would’ve imagined – I feel like I’ve come really far, in a really short space of time and have loads more confidence in myself, and in my photography."
Entrants should submit a 60-second video demonstrating why they think they should win this year’s competition plus three of their best images which demonstrate their creativity and passion for photography. The deadline for entries is 17 February 2017 – a shortlist of 10 entrants will then be invited to take part in four additional challenges, with the penultimate challenge set to take place on the Live Stage at The Photography Show on Tuesday 21 March.
For more information, visit the 60 Seconds to Change Your Life page where you will also find a round-up of Beth's experience as well as words from last year's runner-up Zelda.
