Wintery Black & White Portrait Is Awarded POTW: winter scene

A wintery black and white environmental portrait has been awarded the POTW accolade this week.

The image, entitled 'Winter Scene IV' by ePz member MileJanjic was chosen by the team and here's why we thought it deserved to win:

This is a captivating image that's well composed. The train tracks lead your eye through the image and to the old man walking along in the snow. In the right-hand third of the image you can see a train carriage and a couple of people stood on the platform, further adding interest to the image.

It's a lovely bit of street and environmental photography that gets you wondering about the back stories of the people in the image and you can just feel the chill in the air through the screen.

Photo of the Week winners currently receive a 32GB MicroSDHC card with SD adapter from Samsung. See all the images that have been awarded the accolade in the POTW gallery
