Stuart Fawcett went along to the opening of Mark Seymour's new exhibition all about his father's battle with Dementia.
| EventsMark Seymour is a very special photographer, not just for his documentary style wedding photography nor because of his passion for delivering chiaroscuro style photos lit with strong contrast between light and dark, but because he took a very personal photographic interest in his own father's passage through Dementia.

To celebrate Ronnie Seymour's life and to share his own insights of his Dad's illness, Mark has joined up with the Alzheimer's Society, Harmonica Legend Paul Lamb, Singer FiL Straughan and Printers Loxely Colour to host an exhibition called 'A Harmonica for Ronnie' in the Andipa Gallery, London and Stuart Fawcett (Jackalltog) went along for ePz to hear and see more.

Dementia is a something that affects a new person in London every 23 mins and currently, there are 72,000 people living with Dementia in London, a disease that, as of yet, there is no known cure for. It takes your whole life's memories and shakes them around and eventually it starts erasing your more recent memories and working back, just leaving you with your older memories. These backwards steps can have a dramatic impact on the family as well as the person who's suffering from the disease and can also, perhaps, explain why some people we come across behave quite out of step with the modern world.
