Xiaomi Introduce Budget Redmi Smartphones With 13MP Camera

After releasing a new flagship smartphone a couple of weeks ago, Xiaomi is now updating its budget line-up of smartphones with the introduction of the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A. 

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 features a 5.45-inch HD+ screen, dual camera rear set-up (12Mp & 5MP), 5MP selfie camera and is available in two size options: 3GB RAM & 32GB or 4GB RAM & 64GB. You can also use your face to unlock the smartphone and AI can help you when capturing stills. 

The Xiaomi Redmi 6A has the same body as the Xiaomi Redmi 6 but inside it's slightly less powerful and it only has 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. There's no dual rear camera either, just a 13MP one but the front-facing camera is the same as what's found on the Xiaomi Redmi 6 (5MP). 

Both smartphones do feature MicroSD card slots so overall memory capacity can be extended to 256GB. 

As for pricing, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 starts at 799 yuan and the Xiaomi Redmi 6A is priced at 599 yuan (both under £100 at the current exchange rate!). As of yet, there's no information on when the smartphones will be available internationally.
