| Camera PhonesXiaomi has today announced the Redmi 7 in China. The budget smartphone features a Snapdragon 632 processor and a 400-hour standby time.
The camera in the Redmi 7 smartphone is the same as that used in the Mi 6 - a 12mp rear camera with 1.25µm pixels. The front camera supports hand gestures for selfies.
There's a massive, upgraded 4000mAh battery and the Redmi 7 can also be used as a universal remote, thanks to its infrared sensor.
The screen of the Redmi 7 is made from Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and the whole phone is coated in a P2i splashproof protection layer to repel water. It is also TUV Rheinland certified - meaning that the screen is kinder on the eyes when in reading mode. Prices start from just £80 (699 Yuan) for the 2GB RAM/16GB model and the 4GB RAM/64GB model is only £112.40 (999 RMB). The phone will be available in China from 26 March 2019.
