Yongnuo, makers of budget flashes and other camera accessories, are releasing a new wide-angle auto-focus lens, the YN 14mm f/2.8 for Canon DSLRs, priced at roughly £479, this is considerably cheaper than the Canon EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM at £1999.
The 14mm f/2.8 lens features:
- 114º ultra-wide-angle view
- 2x aspherical glass lenses - one ultra-low dispersion
- 12 pieces in 9 groups
- Multi-layer coating
- USB connection for firmware upgrades
- f/2.8 aperture
- AF/Manual Focus
- 7 aperture blades
- Metal mount
- Focus distance indicator
- Weighs 780g
Yongnuo has now released a number of budget auto-focus lenses for Nikon and Canon DSLRs, including the Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8 in EF mount, 35mm f/2 (Canon and Nikon), 40mm f/2.8 pancake (Nikon), 85mm f/1.8 (Canon, above), and 100mm f/2 (Canon and Nikon).
