Virtual reality is an area of photography that appeals to trendy web site designers and photographers who find the limitations of a wide-angle lens. This book covers all the options and calculations to help you stitch pictures together, edit sticthed pictures, create animation from stills and even print results. The format is funky, but I feel there's a lot of wasted space as there's not enough material to fill the allocated 172 pages. Pictures are used bigger than they need to be and text is spread thinly. On the plus side. the advice is soild and to my knowledge it's the only thorough book on the subject. There's a section on equipment needed which is already out of date in our July review, especially as the book has a publication date of September. Also we did a test of the iPix panoramic system which for some reason isn't mentioned in here. Overall here's a book with limited appeal but useful if that's an area you want to experiment in.
