Author:James Bell

Capture Lakeland is a coffee table book available in limited quantity by James Bell.

James' story is certainly an emotional and inspiring one - diagnosed with M.E and CFS after a bout of glandular fever in 2013, James was left drained of all physical and mental energy, and was no longer able to do many of the things he took for granted before.

With this considered, this book really is a triumph. It documents his life's work - before and after the life-changing events. James was determined to succeed in continuing to capture the fantastic Lake District scenery.

Having been born and bred in the Lakes, photography has been one of the constant things in his life and this book covers the full length and breadth of this stunning area - from the landscapes everyone knows to more intimate images of the wildlife and industry that also takes place here.

James has a real eye for textures and light, resulting in truly charming images that leave you longing to be in that landscape yourself.

The book is purely James' photos, with brief descriptions of the different areas he has visited. You could pore over his photos for hours.

The book itself also looks stunning and will make a welcome addition to any Lake District lover's home.

It's available in a limited edition coffee table format from James' website for £40.
