Professional HDR Photography covers everything you could possibly want to know about capturing, processing and creating HDR photos.

It includes optimal camera settings, solutions for subject motion, HDR panoramics, and how to create portrait, still life and landscape HDR images.

The book also includes the opportunity to download free practise files, to help aid you in the learning process. Author Mark Chen is an Adobe Certified Expert, and guides you through everything you need to know about HDR.

Mark first talks us through the basic concepts of HDR imagery, before moving on to how to set up the camera effectively to achieve these images. He looks at both the Canon and Nikon system of how to set up exposure bracketing.

He then explains how you can get to know HDR, by using the histogram to tell you if your images are balanced properly or not. Next mark looks at how to get the look you want with HDR, as there are many different styles you can achieve with it. He makes it clear that it is a personal decision, and that stylistically it is your work.

There is also a chapter on creating HDR images using Photoshop and camera RAW files. Mark has devised strategies that combine HDR with other post production processes in Photoshop, allowing you to get your images looking just how you want them. Also looked at is creating HDR black and white images, as well as HDR panorama images.

Overall, this book will be really useful if you're a fairly accomplished photographer that wants to learn more about the technicalities of HDR photography, and you have a fairly good understanding of Photoshop.
