Author:Andrew S Gibson

Andrew Gibson is a freelance writer specialising in photography, he's written for many top publications and now he's launched an ebook on the square format within digital photography.

Firstly, I found this ebook aesthetically very pleasing, it's clean, clear, bright and eye-catching, which only adds to the overall reader experince. The book spans over 52 pages starting with the history of the technique, when and where best to use it, challanges with digital cameras, composition, geometry, framing, case studies, cropping and iphone technologhy. It covers all aspects of the technique without much technical jargon and each page is complimented with an image showcasing the technique.

The advantages of ebook publication are clearly demonstrated in Andrew's book. The use of links to other photographers and examples throughout only helps the reader increase their knowledge and gives an interactive experience. Tutorials are featured at the end of the book using pictures as a step by step guide to topics already mentioned in previous chapters.

This ebook is an excellent guide for anyone wanting to try out a new technique, build upon there knowledge or a student wanting to experiment with a more artistic appearence of their digital photography.
