If you're looking for a book that covers a variety of photography topics in small, easy to understand, bite-size chunks, pick up a copy of the Rough Guide To Digital Photography.
The book begins the way many of its competitors do by covering the basics about your camera, lenses and other essential pieces of kit. It then moves on to essential techniques before branching off to look at photography websites, building an online portfolio and other interesting subjects such as toy cameras and phone photography.
Each section is a good length and you don't find yourself searching through lines and lines of information to find something useful. Each topic is covered in a couple of pages which are all split in to easy to read paragraphs. Important words are highlighted in bold, handy Quick Tip boxes can be found on most pages and there are useful diagrams and images dotted throughout the entire book.
It's a great little guide for those who are new to photography or for the amateur who regularly picks up their camera and has the desire to learn a few more things about photography.
