Love both of these, strong geometric shapes.
V2 deserves its own day in the spotlight.

Good shots, but v2 is quite amazing. That deserves to be up front. I can see you working this one into something magical.
I would suggest a crop at the top to eliminate the upper windows.

I thought perhaps they were a giant pair of specs Helen,
and the REP building was the Royal Eye Pavilion !!
Good shots.

Definitely a place for us photographers, not book reading! Wink Two great well-seen shots, Helen, hard to choose a fave, so half a vote for each Smile

Now brace yourself and sit down in case you reel from shock at what I am about to say, but I think V1 might make a really good BLACK & WHITE shot! V2 might be worth a try too as there are strong shapes there.

Regardless of my mono-tone-ous suggestion, these are well observed and captured (sorry, couldn't resist)!

The unique composition of No. 2 has the greater impact and wins my vote.

Two excellent compositions, V2 perhaps the more strongly graphic: like a giant claw reaching out to grasp the viewer. I might just be tempted to crop V2 slightly to remove the area of glass dome and next-door's dormer window; but then, tomorrow morning I might just want them back!

I can easily see both as mono contenders. Of course!
