We received loads of entries for the Colour competition with lots of you thinking about what colour means to you. Variations of the theme ranged from muted colours of an autumnal lake, to selective colouring of a monochrome image.
The winning shot is Watching the Sky by Rusmi. Because primary colours are contradictory, they shouldn't blend in. With the saturated colours of the Poppies and the Sky, the rules have been broken and they compliment each other beautifully, coupled with an unusual point of view.
Second place goes to Tom Carter for the simple shot entitled Pink eye. He's given a splash of colour to a monochrome image, but with a twist. We love the pin sharp detail of the eye and the idea of changing the hue of the iris. Using monochrome has alleviated the problem of skin colour lessening impact on the eye.
Well done, you both receive a copy of Paint Shop Pro X2, Painter X and Video Studio 11.5 courtesy of Corel.
