Best Shots - 10,000 Photographic Competition and Touring Exhibition

Your best shots could earn you a share of 10,000 in prize money, some amazing photographic equipment and a place in the Best Shots UK Exhibition Tour.

The Best Shots Photographic Competition and Touring Exhibition is a charitable fundraising event that is open to photographers on a worldwide basis.

In a nutshell, there are nine different submission categories plus a tenth category for young photographers. Each participant can submit up to five photographs. Online entry fees are 10 per image or just 30 for 5 photographs.

Judging is conducted anonymously in two stages and all entrants receive critiques during the first phase of the assessment process from three different judges on the team. The judging team includes some internationally known professionals including Joe Cornish, Mike Maloney, Roger Tooth (Head of Photography at the Guardian), Linda Wride, Jonathan Beer, Steven Braker, J Collingridge and Amanda Berry (Chief Executive of BAFTA).

As an extra incentive, the first 250 entrants will receive a free Verbatim USB Drive.

Submissions can be made online or via the post. Full instructions on how to enter are available on the Best Shots website - www.bestshots.co.uk If you'd like a printed copy of the Best Shots Prospectus you can request one along with an entry form from - entryform@best.shots.co.uk

Entry fees are treated as donations which go to support the work of a highly acclaimed building restoration trust based in Richmond, North Yorkshire. This charity was responsible for the redevelopment of the town's historic railway terminus which it continues to operate day-to-day. For details about the award-winning project you can visit - www.thestation.co.uk

Submissions to Best Shots can be made up to midnight on April 30th 2013.
