A Foreground of Ferns

By MattB1987
From last weeks tree tracking mission, this is another one, but with a mono conversion and different aspect. I still love how the mist came in and I tried to emphasise it in the edit.

Well thank you for looking, I hope you enjoyed it and of course all comments and critiques are much appreciated.

Ferns do work so very well in black and white with their strong architectural qualities. Lovely contrast between the sharpness of the foreground and the misty background against the trees. Interesting POV greatly aids the sense of perspective.

Lovely composition and brilliant foreground interest, especially in B&W. I was in Thetford last weekend, and had similar experience with the low mist.

Excellent composition Matt - love that foreground. The details and textures are really enhanced by the mono.
