I don't do a lot of long exposures but I've had my eye on this structure for a foggy day long exposure since I got into landscape/seascape photography just over a year age. I never really intended to shoot it with me in the frame but as I was stood on the beach waiting for the shutter to close on my first attempt I found myself drifting off thinking about my dad as this day would have been his 70th birthday. It was this that gave me the idea for the the shot of the lone figure looking out into the abyss as it were. I found it quite tricky standing still for nearly two minutes, especially as my camera was on the beach behind me.
Shot at f16, 28mm and iso 100 with a Nikon d7100, Tamron 28-75mm and Haida 10 stop filter
