Evening Tide at Turnberry

By flatfoot471
Turnberry Lighhouse on the Ayrshire Coast was built in 1873. It is owned and operated by the Northern Lighhouse Board who are responsible for most of Scotland's Lighthouses. It stands 29 metres tall and can be seen from 24 nautical miles away. In April 2012 the NLB took the decision to sell off the Turnberry Lighthouse to save costs. It is most likely to be sold in 2015, because, according to NLB, it has limited use to shipping nowadays.... Fine till one ends up on the rocks!
