My first reaction was too much purple in the background, but on further reflection I think the deep purples in the subject flower
stand out from the lilacs and blurred purples very nicely.
The bee is spot on for sharpness and his yellows make a lovely contrast.
I think this is a very brave image if you know what I mean!

Oh my...this MORE than makes the grade in my opinion!!
First off, the purples in the back are MAGICAL with that bokeh rendered on them. Second, the background just behind the bee is lighter and softer and makes the bee stand out so well. Of course the focus and light on the bee are STUNNING.
